Business Insurance

Most small businesses buy their first policy because a client or a landlord asked for a certificate. That is a reasonable trigger, but the coverage underneath it should be built for what you actually do.

  • General liability with certificates issued quickly
  • Property, equipment, and business interruption reviewed together
  • Coverage matched to your trade, not a generic package

Business Insurance questions

What is a BOP?

A Business Owner's Policy bundles general liability and commercial property, usually cheaper than buying them separately. It suits many small businesses and excludes some industries entirely.

How fast can I get a certificate of insurance?

Frequently the same day once the policy is bound. Tell us the contract requirements up front: required limits and additional-insured wording differ, and matching them the first time avoids a re-issue.

Do I need workers' comp for one employee?

In most states, yes, and often from the first employee. Thresholds and the treatment of owners and contractors vary by state.

Am I covered working from home?

Homeowners policies sharply limit business property and generally exclude business liability. A small endorsement or a separate policy closes it.
