RV & Motorhome Insurance

A motorhome is a vehicle and a temporary residence at once. Insuring it as only one of those leaves a gap exactly where the expensive claims happen.

  • Vehicle and contents covered under one policy
  • Vacation liability while parked and in use
  • Full-timer options if the RV is your primary residence

RV & Motorhome Insurance questions

Is a towable travel trailer covered by my auto policy?

Liability generally extends to a trailer in tow, but the trailer's own physical damage and its contents usually are not. Those need a separate trailer policy.

What is full-timer coverage?

An option for people whose RV is their primary residence. It adds the personal liability and contents protections a homeowners policy would otherwise provide.

Can I suspend coverage in the off-season?

Some carriers allow reduced liability while stored, keeping comprehensive in force. Dropping coverage completely exposes you to theft, fire, and storm damage in storage.

Does the class of motorhome change the price?

Yes. Class A, B, and C units differ in value, repair cost, and claim patterns, and are rated accordingly.
